The terms ECM, DM, DAM, MAM, BAM and Metadata relate to the domain of digital asset management.

This solution makes it possible to improve storage as well as easier to search for Assets.
It is time-saving as it avoids repeating the creation and delivery of Assets.

Assets : Abbreviation of “Digital Assets”. These are stored digital files, which are, in general, bulky or complex
BAM : Brand Asset Management is a variation of DAM for marketing
DM : Document Management
ECM : Enterprise Content Management. ECM includes all solutions for centralized data in an enterprise

Metadata : “Data about data”. This is the information that describes the assets and makes it possible to search for them efficiently. Metadata can be created and managed manually but they can also be processed implicitly by using a DAM solution.
DM : Document Management
MAM : Media Asset Management is a variation of DAM for media enterprises
